The Auditory and Music Perception Lab focuses on research in the areas of developmental psychoacoustics, central auditory processes and diagnostic audiology, auditory working memory, benefits of auditory and musical training, and neuroplasticity. The long-term goal of the AMP lab is to increase our understanding of the interactions of auditory training and maturation on auditory perception.
What type of experice might I gain?
Student experience in the AMP lab varies from volunteering to learn about ongoing projects, and understanding the audiology doctoral program to appling for fellowships to work as a research assistant in the lab on a mentored research project of your choice.
